Tons of Video Featurettes from Keira Knightley’s THE DUCHESS Sep 7, 2008 SexiVixxEN Other With Keira Knightley’s movie “The Duchess” opening in the United Kingdom, I’ve been provided with a bunch of video featurettes. The things to know about “The Duchess” are…the film opens in the United States on September 19th – in limited release. Also, it takes place at the end of the eighteenth century and it’s the story of Georgiana, The Duchess of Devonshire, the most fascinating woman of the age. Here’s the official synopsis: While her beauty and charisma made her name, her extravagant tastes and appetite for gambling and love made her infamous. Married young to the older, distant Duke of Devonshire, intimate of ministers and princes, Georgiana became a fashion icon, a doting mother, a shrewd political operator and darling of the common people. But at the core of her story is a desperate search for love. From Georgiana’s passionate and doomed affair with Earl Grey to the complex ménage à trois with her husband and her best friend, Lady Bess Foster, The Duchess is a very contemporary tale of fame, notoriety and the search for love. The film also stars Ralph Fiennes, Dominic Cooper, Hayley Atwell, Charlotte Rampling and it’s been directed by Saul Dibb. While I’m sure some of you aren’t fans of period pieces….I am. All I can say is, when they’re done well, they can compete with any big budget Hollywood blockbuster. Will “The Duchess” be one of the classic period pieces that people will talk about for years….that, I don’t know. But I see the film later this week, and I’m sure I’ll be getting more clips to post….so I’ll tell you all what I think when I post whatever other EPK materials I get. Until then, if you’re a fan of Keira’s or just of these kinds of films…enjoy the videos we've been given.

Harry Potter HBP Screening Full Report! Sep 6, 2008 roximarina Other Thanks much to TLC reader Rachezee, we now have a detailed report from tonight’s test screening of “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.” As mentioned previously, there are details regarding Harry and Ginny’s kiss, as well as new descriptions of Slughorn’s memory and Riddle’s Horcruxes, Weasley Wheezes, Luna and the Quidditch commentary, the new scene written for the movie about the Death Eaters attack on the Burrow, and pivotal and dramatic scenes involving Snape, Draco, Sectumsempra and much much more. Caution: MAJOR SPOILER WARNING, scroll down for the full report below. SCROLL DOWN SCROLL DOWN LAST CHANCE Today I got to see the test screening of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. It took place in Chicago at the AMC River East. It was a secret screening, no one in the audience was supposed to know before hand what they were seeing. I was one of only a small handful who already knew what we would be seeing, but I was sworn to secrecy. It was truly the hardest secret I ever had to keep. It was not entirely complete, however aside from a few blue screens in the background, and one or two special effects missing, it was barely noticeable. I am a huge fan of Ginny and Harry so I will start with them. There is a lot more Ginny than ever before. She nearly equaled Ron for screen time. We first see her at the Burrow when Harry arrives outside and the first thing he sees is her reading through the window. Harry Just stands there for a moment, gazing up at her. Although she is dating Dean Thomas she never looks happy with him, except when she is snogging him at The Three Broomsticks. She was on the Gryffindor Quidditch team. But the only game we saw was from the Felix Felicis chapter when Ron believes Harry has slipped him the potion. During Christmas at the Burrow, Ginny and Harry wind up on the stairs alone and start to lean into each other to kiss, when the attack on the Burrow interrupts them. The Burrow does not burn down, but it is surrounded by a ring of fire conjured by Bellatrix. Harry, seeing Bellatrix, runs after her, and Ginny runs after him, right into Greyback. But Harry comes to the rescue and the two of them stand in a very high growing cornfield fending off attacks from the deatheaters. Lupin and Tonks come to the rescue, but that is I believe the last we see of them. There is no Tonks and Lupin relationship and although Tonks’ hair is brown there is no notice taken or any explanation given. Tom Felton did a fantastic job in this film. Draco character remains true to the book, he even stamps on Harry’s nose. But, sadly, we never get the pleasure of seeing Crabb and Goyle disguised as girls. In fact, they are hardly in this movie. The Sectumsempra scene was really good, even without moaning Myrtle. As Harry and Draco throw spells at each other poor Nigel sits frozen on one of the toilets. Snape runs in shortly and McGonagall is in the doorway after Harry cast the spell (Draco never yells Crucio) and he does do a cure his wounds with a spell that sounds almost like song. But he does not use legilimency on Harry, who runs straight out of the bathroom to McGonagall. In the next scene Hermione and Ginny band together and tell Harry to hide the potions book so not even Harry can find it. Ginny takes Harry to the room of Requirement, and makes him close his eyes while she hides the book. Then she kisses him briefly. By the time he opens his eyes she has vanished. There was definitely tension between Ron and Hermione. In the very beginning at the Burrow, Ron cleans off a bit of toothpaste from Hermione’s cheek. Later in Slughorn’s class she describes what she smells in the love potion and trails off with “spearmint toothpaste…” Lavender is quite nauseating and although she never gives Ron a necklace she does something equally as vomit worthy, steaming up a window on the Hogwarts Express with her breath and drawing a heart with “R + L” inside it. His relationship ends when he is unconscious and moaning Hermione’s name after being poisoned. He remains confused about why it ended but very relieved. The kid who played young Tom Riddle was Brilliant. His voice and demeanor raised the hairs on the back of my neck. There is no mention of the Gaunts, but the scene in Slughorn’s office is there. Dumbledore however is truly surprised to learn that Riddle made 7 Horcruxes. It is in that scene that he realizes the ring is a Horcrux. He realizes what it was because when harry handles it briefly he moved his head like Voldemort. We do get to hear Hagrid and Slughorn singing about Odo the Hero, and Harry is funny and a few lines where true to the book while under the influence of Felix Felicis. There is no Professor Trelawney, or the Dursleys. No Kreacher (no mention of inheriting Grimmauld Place whatsoever) or Dobby, or Bill and Fleur. There are no scenes with the Minister of Magic, and I don’t believe they even mentioned Fudge was sacked (though I may have missed it). Oh and most sadly of all, no description from Luna about the dangers of the Rotfang Conspiracy. Nor does she commentate the Quidditch match. Luna’s role was very small, but she does have the lion hat and she is the one to find Harry on the train under the invisibility cloak with the help of her Spectrespecs. Weasleys’ Wizard Wheezes was awesome!!! I only wish it were a real store. Unfortunately no U-No-Poo sign, but it was still a sight to see. The scene with Harry and Snape at the end was the least finished of the movie; the background was mostly screens and lights and occasionally a sound persons head. It was very close to the book, though I thought Snape could have been stronger and angrier, when Harry called him a coward. His some of his last words to Harry are “You may have your mother’s eyes but you are as dim as your father!” As a huge fan of the books I have found myself getting more and more disappointed by all the changes in the movies and especially in Michael Gambon’s portrayal of Dumbledore who is my favorite character. That being said I was really pleasantly surprised by this movie. Many of the changes were actually entertaining and Gambon has improved enough to be tolerable. It was so much better than Order of the Phoenix. Overall I really enjoyed this movie and can not wait to see it again.
Harry Potter HBP Test Screening in Chicago? WTF!? Sep 6, 2008 roximarina Other Well, WB might have delayed the release of “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince” until July of next year, but the promised test screenings of the movie are taking place this month as announced previously by director David Yates. Tonight, one such test screening was held in Chicago and there is a thread ongoing in our forum that contains a report of the film, including a description on the Harry Ginny kiss, Slughorn and more. CAUTION MAJOR SPOILER ALERT at this link. We hope to have more on this shortly and will update here as soon as we can. (At the major spoiler link the person said it was better than OOTP yay!!!)
'Dexter' Siblings Date In Real Life? Sep 6, 2008 Petes1234567 Other Dexter star Michael C. Hall is secretly dating his onscreen sister Jennifer Carpenter, despite the disapproval of their TV bosses. The pair plays siblings Dexter and Debra Morgan in the hit series, about a cop who secretly murders serial killers. And, according to the National Enquirer, Hall and Carpenter are an odd item in real life. They've been dating for almost a year, after Hall separated from his wife Amy Spangler. The couple has even moved in together, angering bosses at cable network Showtime, who fear the romance will confuse fans of the show. A source says, "For months they tried to keep the romance a secret by going to out-of-the-way places and avoiding each other on the set. They still refuse to acknowledge they're in a relationship, but everyone on the set knows they're together."

TIFF Interview: Ed Harris, Director and Star of 'Appaloosa' Sep 6, 2008 Petes1234567 Other As the director, co-screenwriter and star of Appaloosa, Ed Harris follows up his Oscar-nominated work as an actor-director in 2000's Pollock with an adaptation of Robert B. Parker's novel, revolving around two old friends and partners (Harris and Viggo Mortensen) in 1882 New Mexico trying to enforce the rule of law in a town threatened by a corrupt power-broker (Jeremy Irons). Harris spoke with Cinematical in Toronto about working on Appaloosa, adapting Parker's novel, co-starring opposite Mortensen and how hard it was to find financing for a traditional Western like Appaloosa: "Pretty hard. I mean, it was very interesting; people really responded to the script, and if the budget for it had been half of what it was, we probably could have got it made pretty easily. ... But we needed the budget to serve the production values; it called for that. I didn't want to make a little intimate art-house film. I wanted to make something that respected the space that it took place in ... it deserves it; it calls for it; so, it was pretty tough; it was a real battle." Why The Dark Knight will Beat Titanic Sep 6, 2008 Petes1234567 Other Box Office analysts are predicting that The Dark Knight will finish with $530-$540 million domestically, about one Forgetting Sarah Marshall away from breaking Titanic’s $600.7 million record. But I believe they are wrong - and here’s why. I’m sure that Warner Bros will rerelease the film in theaters eventually. The film has made a record $55 million on IMAX screens alone, and IMAX Filmed Entertainment chief Greg Foster tells The Hollywood Reporter that there is “a real possibility” of an IMAX rerelease in future years. Robert Zemeckis’ The Polar Express 3-D has been rereleased in IMAX theaters every holiday season, resulting in a four year total of $70 million. “Ultimately, it’s a decision that Warner Bros. has to make, Foster says, adding: “We’d certainly support that.” Last month, The Dark Knight overtook Star Wars to become the second highest grossing domestic film of all time. But many people forget that Star Wars spent only a fraction of the last 31 years in the top two placements. Shortly after surpassing Jaws to become the highest grossing film of all time, Star Wars was knocked off the top by E.T. Overtaken by both Jurassic Park and Forrest Gump, Star Wars dropped the #4 of all time. It wasn’t until the late 90’s rerelease of the trilogy special editions that the film reentered the top two spots. The stage has been set, and I’m sure it will eventually happen folks. It’s just a matter of when and how. Could Warner Bros rerelease the film in a special edition with additional footage that was cut from the theatrical release? If the studio wasn’t set on releasing a DVD in time for Christmas, they probably could have attempted some kind of special edition rerelease with extra footage. But alas, home video sales will be more profitable, especially during the holiday season. From what I understand, there were no actual scenes that were completely cut out of The Dark Knight, only trims here and there. So I’m not sure if it would be worth it. But it didn’t stop Paramount/Dreamworks, which added a couple minutes of footage for the IMAX rerelease of Michael Bay’s Transformers. I seriously doubt Warner Bros would attempt to up-convert the film to 3D as the technology just isn’t there yet. Plus the action sequences would probably make your eyes bleed. One thing is or sure, the enviable digital conversion of IMAX theater will make the distribution of such a rerelease more cost effective.
Tommy Lee Jones seeks $10M in 'No Country' lawsuit Sep 6, 2008 SexiVixxEN Other Tommy Lee Jones is suing the makers of "No Country for Old Men" for more than $10 million that the Oscar-winning actor claims he is owed for starring in the 2007 hit crime thriller. The lawsuit against Paramount Pictures claims that Jones was promised "significant box-office bonuses" and other compensation depending on the success of the film, which went on to make more than $160 million. The movie, which is set in Texas and based on a critically acclaimed Cormac McCarthy novel, garnered four Academy Awards, including "Best Picture." A message left for Paramount Pictures on Saturday was not immediately returned. Jones declined to comment through his publicist, Jennifer Allen, the San Antonio Express-News reported. "The paperwork stands for itself," Allen said. The lawsuit was filed Thursday in Bexar County in San Antonio. N.M. Classics, Inc., a Paramount subsidiary, is also named in the lawsuit. Jones, who played Sheriff Ed Tom Bell in the film, claims he was not paid promised bonuses and had expenses wrongly deducted. The suit says Jones was paid a reduced upfront fee in joining the film, and that his contract had known errors not corrected before the movie was made. Jones, 61, is asking that an auditor be named to review financial records to determine how much he should be paid.
“Max Payne” Director John Moore Upset Over R-Rating, Claims MPAA Gave WB a Blowjob For “Dark Knight” Sep 6, 2008 SexiVixxEN Other A PG-13 rating can open a film up to a wider audience than an R-rating, making a big box office take just a tad more attainable. It’s not a huge mystery, then, why Max Payne director John Moore is none too pleased with the MPAA’s decision to give his upcoming film, Max Payne, an R. In a recent interview with Das Gamer, John Moore, who is apparently trying to cut the film down to qualify for a PG-13 (its original target rating) expressed some of his frustration, saying: We’re suffering from what I call Batman blowback. The Motion Picture Association of America gave The Dark Knight a PG-13 rating and basically sucked Warner Bros. cock…The MPAA changes their rules willy-nilly and it depends on who’s seeing your actual movie at the time. It’s very difficult to get a hold on what’s acceptable. The only thing you can use is current standards. So I go and see The Dark Knight and I say, “Gee, that’s pretty gnarly for PG-13,” but I felt good about Max Payne after coming out of the theater. I thought Max wasn’t going to have a problem. And that’s not the case. They’re coming down on us pretty hard. Moore goes on to say that the MPAA’s inconsistencies are really coming back to haunt the organization: [The MPAA] really hung themselves with The Dark Knight. Every other filmmaker in town is knocking on their door saying, “Please sir, may I have my PG-13 rating and be as fair to my movie as you were to The Dark Knight.” Be sure to head over to Das Gamer to read the rest of the interview. I am very sympathetic to Mr. Moore’s plight and I couldn’t agree more about the MPAA’s horrendously inconsistent guidelines and its shameless kowtowing to big studios. But The Dark Knight? Really? The movie was certainly dark and Two-Face’s makeup/CGI job might have been a bit too intense for some of the young ones, but the movie was almost completely bloodless and very few deaths (Joker’s “magic trick” being the most notable exception) are shown on screen. This was actually one of my original complaints about the film: By not going full-bore with an R-rating, it didn’t have the flexibility to fully and visually explore the horror of some of Joker’s crimes. Until Max Payne comes out, we wish Mr. Moore the best in his battle to get his film the rating he thinks it deserves. But in the meantime, what do you guys think of Moore’s remarks? Discuss: Should “The Dark Knight” have been rated R? Or did the MPAA really fellate Warner Brothers, as Moore describes?
The Wrestler Wins The Golden Lion in Venice Sep 6, 2008 SexiVixxEN Other Yesterday we talked about how Darren Aronofsky’s The Wrestler was creating big buzz at the Venice Film Festival. The film has now been awarded the festival’s top prize, the Golden Lion. This is bitter sweet for Aronofsky, whose 2006 film The Fountain premiered at Venice and was met with lackluster reviews. I’ll be seeing the film tomorrow night at the Toronto International Film Festival premiere, so look out for my review on Monday morning.
Seth Rogen: 'I love watching porn' Sep 6, 2008 Petes1234567 Other Pineapple Express star Seth Rogen has admitted that he is a big fan of pornography. The comic actor was speaking ahead of the release of his new movie Zack And Miri Make A Porno. "I love porn. I watch tons of porn," he told the Associated Press. "The internet speeds have evolved directly with my sexual drive. "I almost did [the film] purely based on the title." Rogen, who has a nude scene in the movie, stars opposite Elizabeth Banks. The plot revolves around two friends who realise that they have feelings for each other when they begin shooting pornography for extra cash. Zack And Miri..., which is directed by Kevin Smith, is released in October
Madonna 'wants Lourdes to keep low profile' Sep 6, 2008 Petes1234567 Other Madonna is hoping that her daughter Lourdes will avoid the spotlight until she leaves school, according to a report. The 11-year-old was reportedly approached to star in the forthcoming movie adaptation of Sue Monk Kidd's novel The Secret Life Of Bees and has been keen to launch an acting career ever since. However, a source told Star magazine: "Madonna didn't work 'til after school and she wants it to be the same for Lourdes. She doesn't want her to enter that harsh world." The insider added: "Lourdes is pretty determined, so I predict a battle in the future." Madonna is currently working on her 'Sticky & Sweet' world tour, which runs until December.
Edge of Love wedding photo Sep 6, 2008 alemagico Other The official site for The Edge of Love added a "vintage" photo of Vera Phillips' and William Killick's wedding. In the photo, we see the happy couple, plus the witnesses to the ceremony, Caitlin MacNamara (Sienna Miller) and Dylan Thomas (Matthew Rhys). The photo represents the friendship that the four shared, before William left for war.
First official Dark Knight photo of the Scarecrow Sep 6, 2008 alemagico Other Finally, a production still of the Scarecrow from The Dark Knight has been released. Unfortunately, you get a better view of the character in this single still than in the entire film. Nonetheless, it's interesting to see (in better lighting) what Dr. Crane has been reduced to since gassing the Narrows: a filthy, rumpled mess. Fittingly, he now looks more like a scarecrow than ever before.
New photos/fotos of HBP - could it mean new trailer coming soon? We got told a new trailer will be soon online, the 1st teatrical trailer. Many pictures, new ones, have let us know about the BURROW ATACK scene, the Sloghorn party, and many more things. If this mean this photos/fotos are the scenes of the trailer...I realy cant wait for it to come...I want to watch it as my friends from DanLatino.com and Danradcliffecouk.ning.com Will you think this could be posible? That this pics have something to do with the trailer?
Equus First Impressions - DETAILS NEW PHOTO Sep 6, 2008 alemagico Other Although official press reviews should start surfacing only once the preview run of Equus is over, we have a few 'informal' articles and reviews to share with you this morning... all of them interesting, and one of them containing a huge amount of spoilers. Even a photo of DETAILS is here. ENJOY! "There is no show curtain, and when you walk into the theater, you see the six horse heads propped up on the six stables and four pillars in the center of the stage on top of another platform. Throughout the show, the four pillars are used as chairs, tables, beds, etc...they are periodically moved around by the actors during scenes. I was impressed by how "choreographed" the entire show had to be, even in the scenes without the six horses. The lighting was stunning, particularly in the final scenes in Act 1 and Act 2...WOW. There was also very effective use of a fog machine, which added to the atmosphere".
September 5th is Equus Day! Sep 6, 2008 alemagico Other Many thanks to Tracey for sending in a Playbill cover and article, reminding us all that tonight, September 5th, is the premiere of the Equus preview performances. Dan is now a seasoned stage performer, but I am sure you will want to join us in sending positive vibes his way. As we say in French, merde... in other words, break a leg Dan! We will be thinking of you and your fellow cast mates tonight! And those of you who will be attending the performance, please come back here after and leave a comment or two.
Harry Potter Image Has Wands Drawn Sep 6, 2008 SexiVixxEN Other Another day, another promotional image for Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince that makes us sad that we won't see the movie for almost another year. This one, over at Snitch Seeker, is from a scene that seems to have been added for the movie-- Tonks, Lupin, Harry, Mr. Weasley and Ginny are out in a field near the Weasley's home The Burrow, holding wands and fending off something sinister-- Death Eaters, maybe? I can't think too much about it or get too excited, or else I just get worked up over nothing. So check out the image below, get the full-size version at Snitch Seeker and hold your horses, since it's going to be a long, cold, Harry-free winter.
Denzel Washington reads from the BOOK OF ELI Sep 6, 2008 SexiVixxEN Other The Hughes Brothers will be making their first film since 2001's "From Hell" with Denzel Washington. The film is called "Book of Eli" and revolves around a lone hero (Washington) who must fight his way across a post-apocalyptic America to bring society the knowledge that could be the key to its redemption. That's right: the whole film revolves around one guy's quest to drop some knowledge. The film will end with the super-imposed text "KNOWLEDGE IS POWER!" and a freeze-frame close-up of a smiling Denzel. Feel the uplift. Since I don't really have any more news on the film, I will now proceed to speculate what piece of vital knowledge Denzel's character hopes to deliver: - Those Jimmy Dean pancake-sausage things cause instant diabetes - The hero's journey is not what he imagined it to be - Love conquers all except for the giant mutant space dragons that have emerged in the post-apocalyptic wasteland.
Inside Man Sequel Moves Forward with Lee, Possible Script by Terry George Sep 6, 2008 SexiVixxEN Other Speaking at the Toronto Film Festival to promote Miracle at St. Anna, Spike Lee has confirmed that plans for a sequel to his 2006 film Inside Man are in motion, with Terry George in negotiations to write the script. Lee plans on returning to direct the sequel, tentatively and creatively titled Inside Man 2. Inside Man was scriptwriter Russell Gerwitz’s first-ever feature-length script, and I thought he and Lee did a damn good job at crafting a gripping bank caper (the next movie you’ll see Gerwitz’s work in is Righteous Kill). Terry George has written critically acclaimed films such as In the Name of the Father and Hotel Rwanda. Undoubtedly, a collaboration between George and Lee for Inside Man 2 will continue to lend the heist film genre some more credibility and (hopefully) some more commercial success, just as the first film did. According to Lee, the movie may feature the same characters from Inside Man, with Denzel Washington and Clive Owen reportedly interested in reprising their roles. The new film would develop their relationship further, but in a different standoff-like situation. Source: THR Discuss: What robbery/heist scenario can you imagine that would top the first film?
Best Idea Ever: Chuck Palahnuik Approached To Write DC Comic Book Miniseries Sep 6, 2008 SexiVixxEN Other Fight Club and Choke author Chuck Palahniuk tells MTV that DC Comics approached him about doing a comic book miniseries. Nothing has come of the talks, but Palahniuk says he would love to create a ghost/monster series like the Tales from the Crypt comics he read as a kid. I would love to see what Palahniuk could bring to the world of paneled storytelling. I’m sure it would be something unlike we’ve ever seen before. DC’s Vertigo label needs to ink a deal with him right now. Am I wrong?
'Crazy' actress Keira Knightley Sep 6, 2008 Petes1234567 Other Keira Knightley says actress shouldn't be role models because they are too "crazy". The 'Duchess' star - who plays Georgiana, the Duchess of Devonshire, in the new period drama - insists young women should not be influenced by film stars because they will get the wrong idea about how to act in life. She said: "You have to leave your emotions available to you. Which is why all actresses are crazy and why I don't particularly think they should be role models." Keira also revealed she "expects" to star in bad films, because you can't have a trouble-free film career. She added to the Big Issue magazine: "You never know what is going to happen. You can have the best script, the best everything and the film can still be c**p. Or you can still have c**p people and the film, for some reason, can still be good. "So you have to accept that failure is going to happen - and it is going to happen - and I'm going to make shocking films and do really horrendous performances. It won't be intentional, obviously!"
Michael Caine's vigilante role Sep 6, 2008 Petes1234567 Other Sir Michael Caine is set to play a vigilante pensioner in a new film. Caine, 75, is to take the lead role in 'Harry Brown', which sees a disillusioned old man take the law into his own hands to fight gangs. Two-time Oscar winner Caine said: "This is a film that had to be made - and a film I had to be in." Emily Mortimer will star alongside Caine as a murder squad detective. 'Harry Brown' will tackle the issues of knife and gun crime which has exploded in the UK over the last 12 months. Kris Thykier of MARV films, which is backing the project, said: "Harry Brown is British to the core and he's had enough of broken Britain." The film will be shot on a derelict housing estate just outside London which is due to be torn down. Caine's eponymous character is being tipped to echo some of his past iconic screen roles, such as Jack Carter from 'Get Carter' or Harry Palmer from 'The Ipcress File'. 'Harry Brown' director Daniel Barber told Britain's Daily Mail newspaper: "What I want the film to look at is what it is in our society that is enabling these kids to be violent for the fun of it, and why it seems that social order has disappeared. "Well, Harry Brown has had enough of the gangs, drugs and violence and Michael Caine is willing to help define a reality. "He is a normal man who doesn't want to take it any more." Filming on 'Harry Brown' is set to start soon. The movie is scheduled for an autumn 2009 release.
Lindsay Lohan's Playboy snub Sep 6, 2008 Petes1234567 Other Lindsay Lohan has turned down a $700,000 offer to pose nude for Playboy magazine. The 'Mean Girls' actress - who posed nude as screen icon Marilyn Monroe in New York magazine earlier this year - was approached by Playboy's creative consultant Hal Lifson who wanted her to pay tribute to 60s star Ann Margret's movie 'Kitten With A Whip' in a sexy eight-page spread for the magazine's 55th anniversary. However, Lindsay's representative reportedly told Hal: "If there's nudity, then the answer's no. She's not going down the New York magazine road again." Following the shoot for New York magazine, Lindsay insisted she was "comfortable" shedding her clothes to recreate the famous 'Last Sitting' shots of Marilyn, taken by photographer Bert Stern just six weeks before she died of a drugs overdose. Lindsay said: "I didn't have to put much thought into it. Working with Bert Stern on a Marilyn Monroe shoot was really an honour. When is that ever going to come up again? "I wanted to portray the look and get it point-on as much as I could, to bring it back to life. I was comfortable with it, the nudity and everything."
Fashion Rocks: Justin Timberlake Sep 6, 2008 Petes1234567 Other Here's Justin Timberlake thinking he's the Man in Black at Fashion Rocks last night. Johnny Cash, is that you? You fancy lad faker! Johnny Cash would roll in and beat your ass and then ask about the water in prison. He would kick you in your burning ring of fire! The only thing Johnny Cash about you, Justin Timberlake, is that your real name is probably "Sue."
Spike Lee Moves Forward on 'Inside Man 2' Sep 6, 2008 Petes1234567 Other Funny, too, because my friends and I were just discussing Inside Man last night. My good pal has a thing for when Denzel yells, "This ain't no robbery!" -- and for some odd reason, he's always saying it (in Denzel's voice). Everyone has THAT quote-crazy friend, ya know? But anyway, The Hollywood Reporter tells us that Spike Lee is moving forward with a sequel to Inside Man over at Universal -- a project that's been in the works for awhile now, but took a backseat when Lee decided to make Miracle at St. Anna. The director would return to the film in the same role, with Terry George (Hotel Rwanda, Reservation Road) currently in negotiations to write the screenplay. Universal and Lee made a killing on the first Inside Man, which, in my opinion, was one of the more enjoyable heist flicks of the past few years, and so it's no surprise they're looking to dive in for more. Though they're not signed on yet, both Denzel Washington and Clive Owen are interested in reprising their roles -- and THR says the sequel will "continue the relationship between the two man characters but in a new high-tension situation." Not a big fan of the "it made $175 million so we have to do the sequel" thought process, but if there's a duo I'd like to see reunited on screen, it would be Clive and Denzel. Both were excellent in the first film. What do you think? Down for more Inside Man? And where could you see them taking these characters?
Brad Dourif to Provide the Voice for Chucky ... Again Sep 6, 2008 Petes1234567 Other It would be nice if Brad Dourif's legacy could be his Oscar-nominated performance as Billy Bibbit in One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, but it's far more likely that people will most remember him as the voice of Chucky, the killer doll from the Child's Play movies. So far, Dourif has lent his voice to the doll in five installments, and he's heading for a sixth. According to Bloody-Disgusting.com, who got it straight from the mouth of Child's Play creator Don Mancini, the remake/reboot of the 1988 original (which Scott first told us about a year ago) will feature a slightly redesigned Chucky, but the character will still have the voice of Dourif. The actor will also return in person to re-play serial killer Charles Lee Ray (aka "the Lake Shore Strangler"), who transfers his soul into the plastic body of a "Good Guys" doll. Mancini also confessed again to Bloody-Disgusting that his reason to restart the franchise is to make Child's Play scary again; he claims the fans pretty much asked for this after seeing the series go too far in absurdly camp directions with the last installment, Seed of Chucky. Well, they didn't necessarily ask for a remake, but Mancini claims the only way to scare the fans again is to begin anew. Or, he could have asked us to forget the horror-comedy sequels and simply title it Child's Play 4. But anyway. The new film will be written and directed by Mancini, who singularly wrote all five of the previous Chucky movies and made his directorial debut with Seed.

Dark Knight Breaks All-Time IMAX Record Sep 6, 2008 SexiVixxEN Other The Dark Knight has surpassed The Polar Express as the highest-grossing first-run release ever shown on IMAX screens, and the only really amazing thing about that fact is that it took this long. Who knew The Polar Express made so much money? Or that The Dark Knight hadn't already been named Greatest Thing To Ever Grace The Giant IMAX Format In History? The Dark Knight has made $55 million of its $925 million worldwide on IMAX screens, compared to the $45 million brought in by Polar Express in the same format. But The Hollywood Reporter has some bad news for the Knight fanatics, too. Because Polar Express is re-released on IMAX 3D every Christmas, it continues raking in money at a rate that Dark Knight won't be able to beat. That is, unless it also becomes a perennial favorite. "That sounds like a really great idea," IMAX executive Greg Foster told THR when they suggested The Dark Knight as a perennial release like Polar Express. ""Ultimately, it's a decision that Warner Bros. has to make. We'd certainly support that." So would you go see Dark Knight year after year, even though it leaves you feeling shattered and depressed? Or can you just be satisfied that the movie has made a crazy amount of money on IMAX screens, and leave it at that? Given how many people are still trying to see Dark Knight on IMAX and can't get into the sold-out screenings, maybe a return in 2009 wouldn't be unwelcome.
Early Buzz and Video Clip: Darren Aronofsky’s The Wrestler Sep 6, 2008 SexiVixxEN Other Darren Aronofsky’s The Wrestler appears to be a big hit at the 65th Venice Film Festival. The Hollywood Reporter claims that the film created “a buzz that had been absent for most of the festival.” Anne Thompson reports that the film is hoping to land a distributor which could “ramp up a release before year’s end so that [Mickey] Rourke can qualify for Oscar consideration” making a December release very likely. Here is a small excerpt from Variety’s review: “Talk about comebacks. After many years in the wilderness and being considered MIA professionally, Mickey Rourke, just like the washed-up character he plays, attempts a return to the big show in “The Wrestler.” Not only does he pull it off, but Rourke creates a galvanizing, humorous, deeply moving portrait that instantly takes its place among the great, iconic screen performances. An elemental story simply and brilliantly told, Darren Aronofsky’s fourth feature is a winner from every possible angle, although it will require deft handling by a smart distributor to overcome public preconceptions about Rourke, the subject matter and the nature of the film.” The Hollywood Reporter: “Rourke dispenses with all vanity to plumb the depths of this well-meaning but severely damaged man. Tomei delivers one of her most arresting performances, again without any trace of vanity. Wood’s part is smaller, but she captures the scalding anger of a woman neglected for most of her life.” AICN: “Brooklyn-bred Darren Aronofsky has gone to New Jersey and made his NEBRASKA. As spare and haunting as Bruce Springsteen’s acoustic masterwork, Aronofsky’s THE WRESTLER is less reinvention than refinement: the relentless self-destruction of mind and body depicted in PI and REQUIEM FOR A DREAM has merged with THE FOUNTAIN’s search for spiritual grace, while his audacious technique has been abandoned for a naturalistic approach that recalls the independent American cinema of the 1970s and 80s. This mostly suits Robert Siegel’s straightforward narrative of a past-his-prime professional wrestler’s fumble for redemption, but it emphatically agrees with Mickey Rourke, who owns the film as the breaking-down Randy “The Ram” Robinson.” And there is also an AP video report, which includes a mixture of film footage and interviews with Aronofsky and Rourke.
Doesn’t Sound Good: 24 Shuts Down Production Sep 6, 2008 SexiVixxEN Other Not so great news for 24 fans. EW is reporting that production of the new season of 24 will shut down for more than two weeks so that the series writers can “reshape the upcoming season’s creative direction”. Howard Gordon admits that they “just couldn’t get this direction to work,” so they “found another one” and “wound up retooling it.” Last season was lackluster by every account, and a production shutdown is never a good sign, especially considering this season was already postponed an entire year (partly due to the writers strike). You would think that with all the extra time, they would have figured everything out… And if that doesn’t sound bad enough, Michael Ausiello reports that Elisha Cuthbert has signed on to reprise her role as Jack Bauer’s incredibly stupid and annoying daughter.
School of Rock 2 “Might Not Happen” Sep 6, 2008 SexiVixxEN Other Just got home from the party for Me and Orson Welles at the 2008 Toronto International Film Festival. I had the opportunity to talk with Richard Linklater, who confirmed that a School of Rock sequel is far from a done deal. Linklater admitted that he only had one conversation with the studio about the project. Richard said that he had another project in mind for his next film and was surprised as anyone else to see the sequel announced in the trade papers as a done deal. Linklater said that it “might not happen” after all, expressing apprehension to the whole idea of a sequel. You have to appreciate a director who isn’t just in it for a quick buck or two, and actually cares about the legacy of his films. Mike White’s screenplay for School of Rock 2: America Rocks follows the further adventures of Dewey Finn, as he leads a group of summer school students on a cross-country field trip that “delves into the history of rock ‘n’ roll and explores the roots of blues, rap, country and other genres.” A /Film reader poll showed that 95% of the 434 votes tallied were not interested in a sequel, while the remaining 5% voted for the option “There Was a School of Rock 1?”. It should be noted that no positive option was made available.
Last Airbender Trailer Sep 6, 2008 SexiVixxEN Other As you may know there is a live-action cinema adaptation of Avatar The Last Airbender under way. The movie is directed by M. Night Shyamalan. But how did he learn about this animated TV show? Well, we may have to thank his daughter! It is indeed through her that Director Shyamalan discovered Aang, the Last Airbender. To learn more, watch this 'interview' of Shyamalan by Michael DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko the co-creators of Avatar The Last Airbender: M. Night Shyamalan is fortunate to have his daughter: he really needed to renew his inspiration! Shyamalan's latest movies were not that great and hardly bring people to theaters... But I bet that this announced trilogy based on the Avatar world, starting with The last Airbender being the first movie, will be a real success. I hope there will be enough financial backing to make a movie that will blow us all away! :)

"Spider-Man 4" Casting, Villain and More Sep 5, 2008 SexiVixxEN Other Recently, we have been hit with lots of "Spider-Man" news, including rumors about the casting for the fourth installment and a possible Venom spin-off movie. Now, DeadlineHollywoodDaily has received word from its sources that both Tobey Maguire and director Sam Raimi will be returning to the franchise. This news is only a few weeks old, since Sony Pictures co-chairman Amy Pascal was previously looking to replace Maguire in case the star of the first three films decided not to return. "She was looking around to cover herself because Sony wanted him badly and Tobey wasn't sure he wanted to do it," an insider explained. And Mary Jane Watson will be coming back as well. If Kirsten Dunst decided to reprise her role, Sony would be glad to have her. "Sony would never recast her." And don't expect the fourth film to be dark like "The Dark Knight" or even "Spider-Man 3." "Sam Raimi made the first serious superhero movie, and others followed," said the source. "The difference between Spider-Man and Batman is that Batman is duelling with a dark side of himself, and that's not what Peter Parker's struggle is. Peter Parker has no dark side himself. In Spider-Man 3 it was the black costume. Peter Parker's struggle is about sacrifice." The source added that the studio is still choosing the villain, but "once you find out who the villain is, you'll know who's playing it." That should lead to speculation that Dylan Baker's character of Dr. Curt Connors will ultimately turn into The Lizard as he did in the comic books. There's one other character that's been set up but is a real longshot -- Daniel Gillies, who plays John Jameson, the astronaut fiance of Mary Jane in "Spider-Man 2." In the comics he becomes the villain Man-Wolf. Raimi has said in the past that he wants the best actors to play the villains in the movie, not necessarily the most famous. And regarding the rumor that "Spider-Man 4" and "Spider-Man 5" may be shot simultaneously is looking more and more likely. It is cost effective and "it wasn't so easy to get everybody back together."
"Where the Wild Things Are" Gets a Release Date Sep 5, 2008 SexiVixxEN Other The much anticipated Spike Jonze-directed adaptation of Maurice Sendak's classic children's book "Where the Wild Things Are" has finally appeared on Warner Bros' release schedule and will now appear in theaters on October 16th, 2009. [ComingSoon] Many fans of Jonze (Being John Malkovich, Adaptation) and the book have gone through ups and downs (mostly downs) as the studio originally slated the film for October, but then pushed it back to the fall of 2009. In July, "Things" completely disappeared from the Warner Bros release schedule. As a result, rumors started spreadings; the online community has stated that during a research screening last December, kids in the audience were crying from fear. But then, Warner Bros got behind the movie by extending the $80 million budget to give Jonze the chance to bring his vision to life. And now we have a release date.

Tom Cruise Signs On for "Monster of Florence" Sep 5, 2008 SexiVixxEN Other Tom Cruise and United Artists have acquired rights to serial-killer thriller "The Monster of Florence," with Cruise attached to produce and possibly to star, according to Douglas Preston, author of the bestseller. Preston and Italo journo Mario Spezi told Corriere della Sera they have inked with UA for a big-screen adaptation of their reconstruction of eight grisly double homicides believed to have been committed single-handedly between 1968 and 1985 in and around the Italian Renaissance gem. "It's the biggest movie deal in my life," the leading Italo daily quoted Preston as saying in a front page story. Previous Preston tomes made into movies include thriller "The Relic." "The film will have Florence and the Chianti as protagonists: two of the locations most beloved by Americans," said Spezi, a Florentine crime reporter and "Monster" contributor, to Corriere. Spezi said the script will be penned by Chris McQuarrie (Valkyrie) and that Cruise will produce and decide whether he wants to star once he reads it. The "Monster of Florence" case had previously inspired the Thomas Harris sequel "Hannibal."
Germans Could Reject Tarantino's "Inglorious Bastards" Sep 5, 2008 SexiVixxEN Other A leaked script of Quentin Tarantino's World War II drama "Inglorious Bastards" already is stirring up controversy for scenes of vengeful Americans bashing, scalping, shooting and strangling German soldiers. What began as an Internet murmur here went mainstream with a recent article by Tobias Kneibe, film editor of the Suddeutsche Zeitung, who predicted the project could have an explosive effect similar to that of Tom Cruise's "Valkyrie," which has been savaged in the German media even though it won't hit theaters until 2009. "All the German historians and critics who were left gasping for breath by Tom Cruise and his worthy attempts will be so shocked by 'Inglorious Bastards' that they will savage it on the spot," Kniebe wrote. Even though he personally likes the script, Kneibe said that "the collision between Tarantino-style pop culture with the themes of the Holocaust and Jewish revenge (the 'Bastards' of the film are Jewish-American Nazi hunters) is unprecedented in Germany and its results are completely unpredictable." More potential fuel for the fire: Tarantino's pulp fiction version of German history will almost certainly get German state financing. Germany's DFFF film fund gives automatic tax breaks for local shoots and "Bastards" is set to shoot almost entirely in Studio Babelsberg outside Berlin. Producers the Weinstein Company declined comment but sources near the shoot said the controversy has had no effect on Tarantino or the German talent connected to the film, which includes Til Schweiger, Daniel Bruhl, Christoph Waltz and Diane Kruger.
Bernie Mac's "Soul Men" Trailer Sep 5, 2008 SexiVixxEN Other The trailer for the upcoming and very tragic "Soul Men" movie has been released, featuring scenes of Samuel L Jackson with the late Bernie Mac and the late Isaac Hayes. In the new musical, Jackson and Mac will play two former backup soul singers who are part of a famed group. They haven't spoken to each other in 20 years but reluctantly agree to travel together for a tribute performance in honor of their recently deceased band leader. Both Jackson and Mac will dance and sing, and the film is negotiating for access to the Stax Records catalog. Comedy was scripted by Robert Ramsey and Matthew Stone, the writing team behind "Intolerable Cruelty," "Life" and "Man of the House." "Soul Men" hits theaters on November 14th.
Selena Gomez: I’m Sorry, Nick Jonas! Sep 5, 2008 Suvee Other Selena Gomez, who’s featured in the latest issue of Teen Vogue, recently spilled about a new song she just wrote called “I’m Sorry.” The new track’s is about liking a guy who can’t get over his ex, rumored to be about Nick Jonas getting over ex Miley Cyrus. “My favorite song that I’ve written is called ‘I’m Sorry’”, Selena tells Twist. “It’s about a boy I kind of fell for, but he couldn’t let his ex-girlfriend go, and it was really difficult. And I felt like in a way, I wasn’t good enough. So the song is basically me saying that I’m sorry that it didn’t work out or that she used to be who she was, but you have to let me in and you have to know that I’ll do everything I can to make you happy and be the best I can be. So that’s probably going to be the first one that I want to work on for my record. It will probably be the only ballad on the record, because I want the other stuff to be really fun. But that is probably going to be the most heartfelt one because it was the hardest time for me. That story actually happened to me.” DO YOU THINK Selena penned her new song about her rumored beau Nick Jonas?

Cute "Marley and Me" Poster Sep 5, 2008 SexiVixxEN Other Everything about the upcoming "Marley and Me" movie seems very cute and the new poster is no different, featuring a shot of the puppy with a bow around his neck. The tagline states: "This Christmas, heel the love." The film is an adaptation of John Grogan's bestselling memoir about an incorrigible Labrador retriever. Marley is the yellow lab adopted by Grogan, a columnist for the Philadelphia Inquirer, and his wife. Their idea was to give them a taste of parenthood, but the dog proved to be a hyperactive handful. He wreaks havoc, gets kicked out of obedience school and gets even worse when the children begin to arrive, yet becomes an indispensable part of the family. David Frankel (The Devil Wears Prada) is directing the new movie, which is scheduled to appear in theaters this Christmas (December 25th).
Gerard Butler Talks "300" Follow-Up Sep 5, 2008 SexiVixxEN Other Back in June, Legendary Pictures confirmed development of a "300" follow-up for Warner Bros that Frank Miller is writing and Zack Snyder would possibly direct. "The vision of Frank Miller's universe that Zack Snyder brought to the screen in '300' is unlike anything ever seen before," Legendary head Thomas Tull said. "We want to be certain that the story originates with Frank and be as compelling as the first." Now, during the Toronto Film Festival, Gerard Butler revealed that he hasn't heard of any sequel or prequel to "300" and finds a second installment a bit unnecessary. "I've heard some backroom chatter, but nothing more, so I don't know if it would be a sequel or a prequel," said Butler to SuperheroHype. "I don't want say anymore than that, because I really don't know. I haven't read anything. I can't see it myself -- sequel for me absolutely not, but I just mean the idea generally, I'm really not sure which way they would go with that."
