MCT:September 6, 2008This film shows that not only is Stephen King a good author but also a hell of a good director. Though it's strange that King oges with a more comedic tone like that of Shaun of The Dead rather than his usual macabre feel that he has in his books. But that's not necessarly a problem, on the contrary it makes this film very entertaining. Let me break down the plot for you people a mysteriuous comit enters Earth atmosphere and causes the worlds machinery to take on a mind on their own and go on a twisted metal killing spree of epic proportions. The effects in this movie range from ohh my God that was so cheesey it's hysterical to ohh s**t eye can't believe that was possible to do in 1986! But eye feel that eye must worn you clownaphobics there is on truck in particular that will make you squirm. This film makes me wish that Stephen king would direct more films because a number of his books just don't get the movie treatment they deserve. Bottom line this is a gut-busting good movie.

MCT:August 17, 2008Terrible beyond words. Stephen King should NEVER be allowed to direct again. The acting was beyond bad, it made me want to bang my head againt the wall repeatedly. As for Yeardley Smith...she should never be allowed to do anything other than Lisa Simpson's voice for the rest of her life. Her screaming made me wish I was deaf!

A plot both genius and stupid. Putting this under genre Horror seems to stretch it a little - this always seemed more like a comedy to me. Still, the idea of machines coming to life and attacking us certainly makes you look at your hair-dryer a little differently.

Great stephen King flick! Love the trailer!! "Hey honey this atm just called me an asshole"!-Stephen King. The atm says fuck you asshole over and over all over the world and the machines all go crazy and kill people. A bunch of murdrering trucks kill people from the story "Trucks" in Night Shift or Skeleton crew by Stephen King! King fans will love this!

Stephen Kings directorial debut and according to him his last, this movie didn't do so well with the box offices but it did provide entertainment for Acdc fans and horror movie fans alike. The reason I call it a horror movie is because the people are being killed one by one...by Semi's! sounds stupid but it's quite entertaining.

Another short story by Stephen King. The screenplay did a great job of expounding on the concept and it was executed with finess. The weak point is the acting. It's not particulary bad, just could have been better. Besides, this is a horror film and we shouldn't care about how much oscar potential the cannon fodder has.

MCT:January 31, 2008This was a rather silly movie, and it was rather slow at times too... What deaths there were in it were pretty good though! As much as I like Stephen King, I like his writing better. I don't know if he ever directed before this; if not, I give him a lot of credit on his first movie. This could have been better though.

This is a classic witch i love about Stephen King's movies the thrill was there even though the movie is an old one you can tell that Stephen had a passion 4 thriller's and know how to scare people the right way. so go watch this move it really good if u like classic thrillers.

this is based on the short strory 'trucks' yeah? well i did like the novella?/short story but thought the film was a bit daft but its still one of stephen kings stories so i gotta say its damn good
