Mafia-based drama with touches of black humour. Jack Nicholson and Kathleen Turner are assassins (and lovers) who end up trying to eliminate each other! A sort of thinking person's Mr & Mrs Smith!

This film is a bit of a bore but it's brightened up near the end by a bevvy of naked supermodels parading up and down the catwalk!

Not one of Mr. Eastwood's best westerns but still very watchable. Certain elements of the plot owe a great deal to the superior High Plains Drifter.

For me this is the weakest film in the original Star Wars trilogy but that doesn't mean it's a bad film. It is still a way above average sci-fi action movie with some spectacular set-pieces and special effects.

Stallone takes on Hulk Hogan and Mr T in this third Rocky movie which features the memorable theme song 'The Eye Of The Tiger'.

Things start to get a bit silly and far-fetched as Rocky fights a giant Russian boxer (played by future action star Dolph Lundgren) after his friend Apollo Creed is killed during an exhibition bout.

Down-on-his-luck fighter Rocky Balboa decides to train an up-and-coming young fighter and ends up fighting him himself in the street! By now the Rocky saga was wearing a bit thin and this film is not in the same league as the earlier Rocky films.

A ridculous (but entertaining) action thriller with Big Arnie in fine form as a sort of Russian Dirty Harry (he even uses a .44 Magnum in this film)!

One of the best Bond movies with some memorable characters, gadgets and set-pieces.

An interesting western directed by Fritz (Metropolis) Lang.

Western adventure directed by Sam Peckinpah who went on to direct The Wild Bunch and Pat Garrett & Billy The Kid.

Not as good as the similarly-titled Rio Bravo (or as good as El Dorado, for that matter) but this John Wayne western is still worth a look.

One of Hitchcock's cinematic experiments - the film was shot in 10 minute takes. Interesting but it is not quite up there with his greatest works.
